About Vidlune

Vidlune is a small, browser-based project for preparing downloadable MP4 files from public Instagram videos that visitors are allowed to save.

What Vidlune does

Vidlune focuses on a simple workflow: paste a public Instagram Reel or feed-video link, let the server prepare an MP4, and save the result in your browser. The current tool is designed for public video posts and does not require an Instagram account, login or app installation.

Clear boundaries

The service does not attempt to open private posts, bypass authentication, use account credentials or provide a public media library. Photo-only posts and unsupported post types are rejected instead of being presented as successful video downloads. You are responsible for having permission to save and use any media you submit.

Who operates it

The project uses the name Vidlune. It is an independent service and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Instagram or Meta.
