Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Vidlune processes when you use ig-reels-downloader.com. Vidlune is a browser-based tool for preparing downloadable MP4 files from public Instagram Reel and feed-video URLs. It does not ask for, receive or store your Instagram username or password.
Information processed when you use the downloader
When you submit a link, the server processes the public Instagram URL, your network IP address, basic HTTP request information and technical events needed to prepare and deliver the file. The IP address is converted to a SHA-256 identifier, and the identifier, successful-download count and 24-hour reset time are stored in Cloudflare Durable Object storage to enforce the three-download rolling limit. Expired counters are removed when a later request checks them. This is a technical quota record, not a user account.
Temporary media files
Vidlune may create a temporary working directory while yt-dlp and ffmpeg prepare the MP4. The server starts a best-effort cleanup when a response completes, fails, times out, is cancelled or a client aborts the response. If an operating-system process or filesystem error prevents immediate removal, temporary files may remain until a cleanup attempt succeeds. Vidlune does not provide cloud storage, a public media library or a user-facing download history. The downloaded file is delivered to the browser and remains on your device according to your browser settings.
Logs and service providers
The web server, Cloudflare and hosting provider may create operational logs containing an IP address, request path, timestamp, response status and user agent. Vidlune also uses Google Analytics to measure visits and improve the site; Google may process device, page, approximate-location and interaction data and use first-party analytics cookies. These records are used to operate and improve the service, investigate errors and respond to abuse. Do not place confidential information in an Instagram URL submitted to the service.
Third-party advertising
Vidlune displays clearly marked affiliate links, including a sponsored text link on the home page. If you follow that link, your browser visits CJ Affiliate tracking before reaching the advertiser. CJ and the advertiser may process click and browser information and use cookies or similar technologies under their own privacy policies. The link does not load a CJ banner or tracking script on Vidlune pages. Vidlune may earn a commission if you purchase after following an affiliate link. If we add other advertising formats or providers later, we will update this policy before enabling them.
Vidlune publishes Free and Pro pricing and directs Pro activation to the Contact page. Online checkout and payment processing are not currently enabled, and the site does not collect payment details through the service. If service providers or data practices materially change, this policy will be updated before the new processing is used.
Cookies and local storage
The downloader does not require an account cookie. The site uses browser local storage to remember your light or dark theme, and Google Analytics may use first-party cookies. These values are not Instagram credentials.
Your choices
You can avoid server processing by not submitting a URL. You can clear site data through your browser controls, use browser privacy settings to restrict analytics storage and remove downloaded MP4 files through your device’s file manager. Children and changes
Vidlune is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. This policy may be revised when the service changes or legal requirements develop. The date at the top identifies the current version.
