Privacy Policy
This policy explains what ReelDrop processes when you use ig-reels-downloader.com. ReelDrop is a browser-based tool for preparing downloadable MP4 files from public Instagram Reel and feed-video URLs. It does not ask for, receive or store your Instagram username or password.
Information processed when you use the downloader
When you submit a link, the server processes the public Instagram URL, your network IP address, basic HTTP request information and technical events needed to prepare and deliver the file. The IP address is used for the three-download rolling limit, concurrency protection, security and abuse prevention. The current quota counter is stored in process memory and is not a permanent user account.
Temporary media files
ReelDrop may create a temporary working directory while yt-dlp and ffmpeg prepare the MP4. The server deletes that directory after the response completes, fails, times out or is cancelled. ReelDrop does not provide cloud storage, a public media library or a user-facing download history. The downloaded file is delivered to the browser and remains on your device according to your browser settings.
Logs and service providers
The web server and hosting provider may create short-lived operational logs containing an IP address, request path, timestamp, response status and user agent. These records are used to keep the service available, investigate errors and respond to abuse. Do not place confidential information in an Instagram URL submitted to the service.
ReelDrop currently does not run an advertising network, paid checkout or Instagram login integration. If service providers or data practices materially change, this policy will be updated before the new processing is used.
Google Analytics
If you choose “Accept analytics,” ReelDrop loads Google Analytics to understand page visits and improve the site. Google Analytics may process the page URL and title, browser and device details, approximate location, session statistics and interactions, and may store a first-party _ga identifier. ReelDrop does not load the Google Analytics tag or send analytics data before you accept. Google processes this information under its own privacy terms.
Cookies and local storage
The downloader does not require an account cookie. The site uses browser local storage to remember your light or dark theme and your analytics privacy choice. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may use first-party cookies. These values are not Instagram credentials.
Your choices
You can avoid server processing by not submitting a URL. Use the “Privacy choices” control on any page to accept, decline or change analytics collection. You can also clear saved choices through your browser’s site-data controls and remove downloaded MP4 files through your device’s file manager. For privacy questions, contact the site operator through the repository or support channel linked from the service when available.
Children and changes
ReelDrop is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. This policy may be revised when the service changes or legal requirements develop. The date at the top identifies the current version.
