Vidlune controlled file-size checks, October 7, 2026

Extract into an empty local directory. These files contain a test-only adapter,
the project handler and its cleanup helper; no credentials, production data or
live fetching are needed. Node 24.19.0 and FFmpeg 7.1 were used for the original run.
Set FFMPEG_BIN to your own trusted FFmpeg executable path, then run:

node --import ./scripts/test-typescript-imports.mjs scripts/audit-file-size-limit.mjs

PowerShell example for the executable already installed on your machine:
$env:FFMPEG_BIN = 'C:\path\to\ffmpeg.exe'

The adapter accepts an Instagram-shaped fixture URL but never requests it.
Files are locally generated black H.264 MP4s with artificial free-box padding;
they are not downloads of real Instagram videos. Accepted responses are read
for one chunk and cancelled, not saved by a browser. Seven assertions include
byte cutoff, aggregate output and deliberately injected process-exit cases.
Audit JSON is written under docs/evidence/file-size-2026-10-07. Temporary fixtures
and temporary handler outputs are cleaned. This is not a production server test.
