Run in an empty extracted directory, with Node 24.19.0 or a compatible version:
node --import ./scripts/test-typescript-imports.mjs scripts/audit-rate-limit.mjs

No npm packages, FFmpeg, Instagram login or media request is needed. The adapter emits 65536-byte transport placeholders, not playable media. Synthetic identities only select independent LOCAL in-memory counters; they are not production IP rotation. The concurrency gate releases normal completion, never aborts a task. The timeout is a safety bound for the local test, not a published live setting.

The audit pins the inspected handler to its preserved source snapshot, injects upstream/private errors, runs successful-response accounting, default three-slot admission and completion-stage counter tests, then asserts output cleanup. It writes docs/evidence/rate-limit-2026-10-08/audit.json. It does not inspect the live origin's environment overrides or additional proxy counters. Do not point this adapter at production or infer a universal retry time from it.
